Commitment to Accessibility

At the KORP Foundation for Arts and Science, we are committed to ensuring that our digital platforms are accessible to all people, regardless of ability or disability. We believe that accessibility is a fundamental component of equity and inclusion, and we strive to uphold the rights of all users to perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with our content.

Our website is developed with the aim of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Measures Taken to Ensure Accessibility

To ensure digital accessibility, we take the following measures:

  • Inclusive design principles incorporated from the early stages of development

  • Use of semantic HTML5 and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes

  • Keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility

  • Appropriate colour contrast and support for text scaling

  • Responsive design across devices and browsers

  • Ongoing testing using automated tools and manual audits

We also train our content creators and technical team to uphold accessibility standards across platforms.

Scope of This Statement

This statement applies to the primary website of the KORP Foundation:
www.korpfoundation.com

It does not apply to third-party content or platforms linked from our site (e.g., embedded social media feeds, ticketing services, or external publications), which may not meet the same accessibility standards.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to make all content fully accessible, we are aware that some elements may still present limitations, including:

  • PDF documents not fully tagged for accessibility

  • Video content that may lack captions or transcripts

  • Interactive visual content (e.g. maps, charts) not fully navigable via screen readers

We are actively working to address these issues and welcome feedback to help us improve.

7. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As the digital and legal landscapes evolve, we are committed to reviewing and updating our digital accessibility practices regularly.

We view accessibility not merely as a technical requirement, but as an ethical obligation aligned with the mission of the KORP Foundation — to foster inclusive, transdisciplinary knowledge that is open and equitable by design.
